Its become more apparent that some unspoken rules needed to be wrote down and addressed. Though TOS in the forum usage, and also base forum rules explains this, I am making it a bit more clear.

I've taken some steps to help with the annoyance of necroing old threads. now after 180 days, from last reply, a thread will lock, if you find a thread locked that you think shouldn't be. feel free to message me, Skookum, or Lockdown to have it re-opened if it was, in fact, locked by mistake.

Due to Real Life constraints I've had to step back from my position as the maintainer of the site. As such I've appointed a new maintainer. Calast has all the skills and abilities that I have and then some so I'm entrusting the care and maintenance of the site to him. Alright critters, this is just a reminder that we DO have rules on off topicness in threads. Off topic banter can be taken to new threads, PMs, or any other form of off-forum communication like emails and messengers.

Lately a few of you have been very bad about staying on topic in threads so since we had this reminder about a year ago, it still stands that warning and small term bans can be implicated on offenders.

Also, I'd like to let people know that we'd like to keep neofurs a fun and less drama (since anything furry includes drama) forum. So if you don't want it said to you, Don't say it to others. A lot of jabs and nitpicking has been going on lately. So like what Thumper on Bambi said, If you can't say nothing nice, don't say nothing at all. Warnings and short term bans can be implicated as needed.

Data Loss.

There's been a case of data loss with the forums. It seems that the forums have rerouted back to the server DNS. As such we are currently back on the old server.

Anything that has been posted in the last week has been lost. I'm looking to see if I can bring it back bit it is doubtful.

New Server! (Site downtime)

NEOFurs is going to be moving to a bigger and better server. As such, There will be a significant amount of site downtime.

Next Thursday, October 1st, 2009 the site will be experiencing an extended downtime. Starting at 9am EST, the site will be down. We are hoping to bring it on again by 3pm EST, but as with all things technical, problems can arise. Please bear with us as we get things working and set up on the new home.

Thanks everyone for being patient with us. It'll be worth it! I promise! :3

Forum Rules

1. General Forum is rated PG-13

2. Do not be mean to other members on the forums

3. Trolling and baiting posts are not permitted

4. One account per person, secondary accounts are not allowed.

5. Do not post pix over 640 wide x 480 high

6. Signatures should not extend more than the equivalent of 10 lines of text and should not contain pix wider than 640

7. For access to the Adult forums you must have your birthday displayed in your profile, have been a member of the forums for at least two months and have 100 posts, and have a relatively clean record on the forums for following the rules we have set out for the forums.

8. Harassment of ANY type is not permitted on. This includes through PMs, if someone forwards a PM where in the person reporting it is being harassed, the offender will be given a warning. We will not stand for harassing PMs being sent to other members of the forums.

These rules are subject to change or new rules may be added in the future. New rules will be added as replies to this thread.

Upgrading to a new version of MyBB, The forums will be down for an hour or two sometime during the day. Probably later in the evening when it's predicted not many will be on the forums, and at the meet for that day instead. :3

Custom User Titles

It's been brought to our attention some people were having problems editing their custom user titles. Everyone should have this ability. People that were having the problem should be able to change them now, we've figured out the problem and have fixed it.

We ask simply that user titles be kept appropriate for the general audience with no inappropriate language.

I gentle reminder to everyone. Please keep your photos under the size limit of 640 wide x 480 high. Also reducing them to less than 100Kb in size will make for faster loading.

There are numerous free softwares available to shrink your pics. I use Irfanview which can be downloaded from here.
